Our History

Peter Varhol Construction was founded in 1995 by Peter Varhol, providing excavation and septic work around Canyon Lake and New Braunfels. His sons, Dennis and Mike, grew up on his job sites and around the equipment, and both are lifelong residents of the Texas Hill Country.

Today Dennis and Mike lead the business. Septic systems have become the core of our work, from septic design and engineer referral through installation, because that is where our knowledge of local soil and rock matters most. We continue to provide excavation, site work and hauling, often on the same properties where we install the septic system.

Over the years we have served thousands of customers across the Hill Country, including homeowners, home builders and businesses that needed a septic system or a site prepared for construction.

We own and operate our own excavators, hydraulic rock hammers, track loaders and dump trucks. With our own equipment and our own crew, we stay on top of the schedule, keep projects moving and control the quality of every job. We put you in contact with an engineer we trust for the site evaluation and design, then handle the installation through the final inspection.

We treat people right, we are honest with our customers, and we do the job right the first time. From the first phone call to the final walkthrough, we stay involved in every project so you always know what to expect.
