Septic Installation in Blanco, TX

North of our yard along US 281, Blanco County is ranch country with more new homes every year. We install septic systems for custom homes, barndominiums and ranch houses throughout the area, and we can connect you with an engineer for the design.

Septic Systems for Blanco County Land

Outside the town of Blanco, properties rely on septic. The land varies more than many buyers expect, with deeper soil in some valleys and river bottoms and thin, rocky ground on the ridges and uplands. As a result, Blanco County sees a genuine mix of systems. Some lots support a conventional drainfield, while many require an aerobic system with drip or spray disposal.

Larger tracts also provide more room to work, which is an advantage. The tank can be placed where access is easiest and the field where the soil is best, provided setbacks from wells, creeks and property lines are met.

Septic Permits in Blanco County

Blanco County administers its own septic permitting, separate from Comal County. The process follows the same state rules: a site evaluation by a licensed site evaluator and a design prepared by a registered sanitarian or professional engineer, a county permit, installation by a licensed installer and a county inspection. We work closely with an engineer we have a great relationship with and will put you in contact with them through our septic design and engineer referral service. The engineer handles the evaluation and design and guides you through the process. If you already have a design, we can price and install from it. We then install the system under our TCEQ OSSF installer license OS0031132, coordinate the county inspections and finish the site. Our permit guide outlines the general steps.

Building a barndominium? Septic sizing is based on bedrooms and living area, so a shop with living quarters is designed differently from a shop alone. Tell us how the building will be used so the engineer can size the design accordingly.
